What to wear with a skirt with braces?

I recently, just bought two skirts with braces on them from H&M. The same style as the grey one from this link: shinymedia.headshift.com .except its a skirt.

skirt is red&white with very thin stripes the other blacky/greyish white very thin stripes. i was thinking of wear full length tights and wellies with them, with a plain white top. (bear in mind i live in London, and its the fashion trend there, i love it) I'm not sure what to wear with the skirts.

any ideas? &colour identification would help too 🙂 THANKS.
